Transfer News: Fabrizio Romano reveals that several clubs including Feyenoord are interested in signing Manchester United ace Amad Diallo in January
According to transfer news from Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United ace Amad Diallo is being targeted by several clubs, including Feyenoord, ahead of the January transfer window.
The 19-year-old ace played a key role in the road to the UEFA Europa League final last season. He could have featured in pre-season too this summer but missed out on it due to international duty at the Olympics. Diallo was set to join Feyenoord on a loan deal in the summer, but an injury ruled out any chances of that deal materializing.
However, he has since recovered and is on the fringes for first-team action. The youngster also recently featured under Ralf Rangnick in the club’s last UCL group stage game against BSC Young Boys. But the winger could now seal a loan move in January.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that several clubs, including Feyenoord, are keen on signing the Ivorian in January.
“Many clubs have already approached Man United to negotiate for Amad Diallo loan in January. Feyenoord want him since last summer.”
Needs consistent minutes
Diallo has the talent to become a world-beater, but he needs to live up to that potential. The youngster needs consistent minutes, and he is unlikely to get that at Old Trafford in the coming months.
The number of attackers in our starting line-up makes it nearly possible to guarantee anybody minutes, besides Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes. Thus, a loan move would bode well for the player as he could return in the summer with experience under his belt.
Moreover, it could be preferable to loan him out to a Premier League side. Feyenoord are an excellent club to hone talent and promote the youth, but an English club can offer the prospect of playing against the best teams and garner the kind of experience Man United would want him to.
