Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo in agreement that Manchester United results need to improve
According to The Sun (h/t The Express), Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo feel that the results at Manchester United need to improve amidst a poor run of form.
The duo shall return to Man United training soon after failing to guide Portugal to the 2022 World Cup. The 2016 European champions drew against the Republic of Ireland last week before losing to Serbia in added time.
Although they still have a chance of qualifying, they shall have to go through a gruelling play-off tie in March. Regardless, they have to focus their attention on the game against Watford on Saturday.
But both attackers understand that a victory is not going to solve the issues at hand. The duo is aware that the results need to change, and they need to do so soon.
The Red Devils are languishing in sixth place on the table after picking up only 1 victory out of the last 6 league games.
Defeats to Liverpool and Man City were more than just humiliating. Fernandes helped the club to a 2nd place finish last season and narrowly missed out on the Europa League. Ronaldo was added to get the Old Trafford outfit over the finishing line.
But the 36-year-old has been bailing the club out instead. He already has three winners to his name this season, and Fernandes has also been crucial to the heroic comebacks. But the manager is out of his depth, and several stars are lacking game-time.

Donny van de Beek and Jesse Lingard cannot buy a start despite performing well off the bench. Both stars are now heading for the exit door in January. The process to winning trophies should have been smooth, but it is all chaos in the red half of Manchester.
Fernandes and Ronaldo are arguably the two best players at the club at the moment. If something needs to change, they need to bring it about, and a win at Vicarage Road would give them confidence for the upcoming crunch ties against Villarreal, Chelsea, and Arsenal.
