Mino Raiola hints at Paul Pogba exit from Manchester United ahead of January window

Speaking to Italian channel Rai (h/t Daily Mail), Mino Raiola has hinted that he cannot stop anyone from dreaming amidst a potential exit for Paul Pogba from Manchester United.

The 28-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, and he is yet to sign a new one. This could be problematic as United might have to let him leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

His agent, Mino Raiola, is always in the news for the right and wrong reasons. In the 2019/20 season, he claimed that it could be time for a ‘new challenge’ for his client. He followed it by stating that it would be best to ‘sell him in the next market’ in 2020.

This time around, the Italian super-agent has revealed that he cannot stop anyone from dreaming. Raiola told Italian channel Rai (h/t Daily Mail):

‘December is the month of dreams… and I cannot stop dreams, but it is better to not speak about Paul. If some former Man United players do not speak about me and Paul, they won’t work anymore.

‘It’s too early to speak about Paul Pogba’s contract. Let’s see what happens. I cannot stop anyone from dreaming.’

The thinly veiled statement is a subtle indication of the upcoming January transfer window. If a new deal is not agreed upon by the end of 2021, Pogba could talk to foreign clubs. He shall be a big miss, especially after his great start to the season. The French international provided 7 assists in his first four league games.

Since then, he has fallen down the pecking order before getting a red card in the defeat to Liverpool. The Frenchman also recently picked up a thigh injury, ruling him out of action until the end of the year. Thus, it remains to be seen whether the midfielder has already his last game for the club, amidst interest from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus.
