Speaking to the club media (h/t The Express), Edinson Cavani has urged Manchester United fans to keep their faith in the players and expressed his pleasure to play for the club.

The Red Devils have gone through a rough time in the last two months. Everybody has come under the microscope, including the owners, the manager, and the players.

Defeats to Liverpool and Man City at Old Trafford in the span of two weeks can bring about that reaction amongst fans. However, United are still within touching distance of the Top 4 and remain masters of their Champions League hopes.

Star striker Edinson Cavani has now urged the fans to keep their faith in the players as they will turn things around soon. The 34-year-old sent a message to the supporters, stating (h/t The Express):

“It would be to have faith in their team and to have faith in their players, who, without a doubt, will be trying hard to perform well and to keep growing and improving, so that the faith that they’ve shown us, we might be able to pay it back with good results, hard work and by winning.”

“So I would just like to send best wishes to all the United fans, and it really is a pleasure for me to be here at their club.”

The Uruguayan made his second league start of the campaign in the 3-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur. However, he was on the bench for the Atalanta game and was out injured against Man City. There is a chance that he could be involved against Watford on Saturday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would want his centre-forward back as soon as possible. The industry off the ball and the goal threat provided by Cavani is unparalleled, and United would need his services if they are to turn their season around.
