Juventus have Manchester United forward Anthony Martial on their transfer wish-list
According to Calciomercato (h/t TEAMtalk), Juventus could be interested in signing Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.
The French professional footballer has struggled to cement a regular position in the starting 11 for quite some time now. He has clocked only 156 minutes for the Red Devils in the Premier League this season. During this time he has only managed a solitary goal.
The additions of exciting attackers like Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo have seen Martial fall even further down on the pecking order at Old Trafford. The Manchester-based club have struggled to get going and their recent performances have put even more pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm.
It is believed that the Italian club are keenly interested in signing Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic. That being said the 21-year-old striker has been linked with several clubs like Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur. The ACF Fiorentina striker has scored 10 goals and provided 1 assist in 13 matches for La Voila this season across all competitions.
The Turin-based outfit would have to fight hard for Vlahovic with many suitors already lined up and Martial could be a comparatively easier option to bring to the Allianz Arena at the moment. It is believed that the Serie A club could also be interested in Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette.
The 25-year-old professional footballer has struggled to get going in the last couple of seasons. Martial made the switch to Man United in 2016 for an initial fee of £38.5m which could rise to £61.5m if all clauses in his deal were fulfilled. There was a certain buzz around the young forward and the AS Monaco Vice President of the time Vadim Vasilyev even stated that he was “nontransferable” close to four years ago.

Anthony Martial hasn’t been able to live to that hype recently and the club could choose to off-board him. Newcastle United were the other Premier League club that have been linked to the 25-year-old striker in recent times. It seems that there would be very limited opportunities for the former Monaco player to prove his worth at Old Trafford given their star-studded forward lineup. Any move for the Red Devils forward is only speculatory at the moment but the temptation of more minutes in the senior squad could lure him away from the Red side of Manchester.
