Manchester United star Paul Pogba eyeing a return to Juventus next summer
According to Sport Italia (h/t ESPN), Manchester United star Paul Pogba is looking to seal a return to Juventus once his contract expires next summer.
The 28-year-old has been influential for the Old Trafford outfit this season and has bagged seven assists in just as many league starts. However, the midfield superstar was not available for selection in the victory against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday after receiving a red card against Liverpool.
However, the Frenchman may be playing his last season in the famous red jersey as he has just over six months on his current deal at Old Trafford. A contract extension is yet to be agreed upon between United and Pogba. The Red Devils are thought to have already made peace with the fact that the central midfielder could leave on a free transfer next summer.
In fact, the 2018 World Cup winner is already thought to have decided his preferred destination next summer. The French international is eyeing a reunion with Juventus after previously spending four incredible years at the club.
Pogba helped the Turin outfit to multiple Serie A titles and played a crucial role in getting the Old Lady to the 2015 Champions League final. It was in Turin that he developed into a truly world-class player.
However, the Italian club will have to offload the likes of Adrien Rabiot, Aaron Ramsey, and Weston McKennie to free up the funds and pay the Frenchman his £12million salary.

However, Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be monitoring Pogba amidst a potential move, according to Le 10 Sport (h/t ESPN). European heavyweights Real Madrid are also thought to be plotting a deal, but any transfer will have to be completed next summer as United are not open to letting go of the midfielder in January.
Thus, while an exit may be sealed, it remains to be seen where the Old Trafford outfit’s star plays his football in 2022.
