Fabrizio Romano reveals that there is ‘no panic’ at Manchester United to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Speaking on his YouTube channel (h/t This is Futbol), Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Manchester United are in no hurry to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm.
The 47-year-old head coach was appointed by the club as an interim coach in December 2018, after the Old Trafford outfit sacked Jose Mourinho. However, Solskjaer has since rebuilt the club to a certain extent and the additions this summer certainly injected them with a winning mentality.
In Cristiano Ronaldo & Raphael Varane, the Red Devils have two of the most clutch players in top competitions as they won four champions league titles together in the last decade.
However, despite all of this, United were knocked out of the EFL Cup and are currently hanging on in their Champions League group as they face a testing two legs against Atalanta post the international break.
The Manchester-based club also dropped points for the second consecutive week in the Premier League. However, it is thought that there is no panic yet amongst the boardroom members at the club. Journalist Fabrizio Romano explained the situation on his YouTube channel (h/t This is Futbol), saying:
“From what I’m told, nothing has changed. Remember that Manchester United, during the summer, offered him a new deal, he signed a new deal with Manchester United, and so it means that they want him as part of the project, part of the future, they’re showing him confidence.
“But for Solskjaer, for Manchester United, they are not planning to replace him. There is nothing at the moment like contacts with other managers.”

The United chiefs are also apparently aware that it will take time for the new players to completely ‘settle in’, and it will take time to improve the quality of football altogether.
Thus, despite a lot of commotion, it looks like the Norwegian is not leaving Old Trafford any time soon, as he looks to bring the biggest titles home this season.
