Manchester United sign former Arsenal prodigy Harrison Parker
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have snapped up highly-rated young defender Harrison Parker following his summer departure from Arsenal.
The news was confirmed by the 15-year-old on the social media platform, Instagram. He secured a contract with the Red Devils following a trial where he clearly impressed.
Parker was at Arsenal for the last nine years. He was seeking a new challenge and will now join United’s vaunted list of talents coming through the ranks.
Parker was a player who attracted attention from a number of clubs following his exit from Arsenal. The Red Devils have in the end come out on top. The youngster will now spend time with the club’s Under-15 side.
The teenager impressed United coaches during a summer trip to Northern Ireland as the club commemorated the 30th anniversary of their Milk Cup victory back in 1991. First impressions last and now Parker will have the opportunity to make a name for himself in red.
United have a history of bringing through top young talents. Parker is certainly in good hands and will progress through the ranks as long as he holds his end of the bargain.
