First images of Adidas Manchester United retro Teamgeist kit for 2021/22 season ‘leaked’
As per reliable jersey website FootyHeadlines (h/t Manchester Evening News), the first images of the Adidas Manchester United retro Teamgeist kit have been ‘leaked’ for the first time.
Teamgeist is a German word that translates to ‘Team Spirit’ in English. It was also a popular range of football products that Adidas released during the mid-2000s, especially during the run-in to the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
As it turns out, the famous series seems to be making a comeback, and United are set to receive a Teamgeist version of their own kit.
The jersey is apparently branded with the trademark Teamgeist stripes on the sides in Red and White colours that are symbolic of the club. The logo of the company is placed centrally with Man United’s badge on the left.
It is unclear if the kits will ever be worn during matches- official or unofficial, and may well be a marketing move to sell more club gear. Regardless of that, the shirt looks like a classic already and hopefully maintains its clean look devoid of any sponsorship logos.
Man United have three new, crisp kits for this season and the Teamgeist jersey is a worthy addition to the range of merchandise being released this year. The pricing and availability will become clear during the official release.
It is believed that the jersey will come out by November 2021. The club itself is having a mixed season so far as they have suffered 3 defeats in their last 4 games after a brilliant summer window.

Adidas, along with Man United fans, would hope that the club regains form by then because happy fans mean more jersey sales and fans cannot be happy if the club continues to lose against teams like Young Boys, West Ham, and Aston Villa.
