Transfer News: Manchester United still interested in Declan Rice and Erling Haaland for next year
Speaking in a Q&A session, Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst claimed that Manchester United are still interested in West Ham midfielder, Declan Rice, and Borussia Dortmund sensation, Erling Haaland.
The 22-year-old defensive midfielder can provide Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with an assured presence in the centre of the park, while 21-year-old Haaland is a potent goal-scoring threat who has played under the Norwegian manager at Molde in the past.
The Red Devils are coming on the back of a busy transfer window this summer. John Murtough brokered three significant deals in Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

But there was no new face added in midfield. However, according to Luckhurst, a season with capacity crowds at Old Trafford coupled with other factors could now help the Red Devils to come up with funds for these two expensive targets.
Rice and Haaland BOTH to United?
“United are interested in both players. A season of capacity crowds, revenue up and staggered spending this summer would make it affordable to sign both next year. You’re talking in the realms of £120m (minimum) for both.”
Ronaldo has shown that he is not going to slow down anytime soon and has had a blazing start to his United career. However, at 36, the former Juventus and Real Madrid superstar is no spring chicken.

Paul Pogba’s future at the club remains up in the air while Fred has failed to impress the entirety of the fanbase with his performances.
