Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot send a message to Manchester United fans following Carabao Cup exit
Both Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot have taken to Instagram to express themselves following Manchester United’s defeat to West Ham United in the Carabao Cup.
An early goal from Manual Lanzini handed the Hammers an early lead, leaving United to seize the initiative. Despite laying siege to the Hammers goal, the Red Devils were unable to break their duck.
Fernandes, regularly a starter began the match on the bench. He came on in the second half but was unable to make the difference.
The Portuguese star took to Instagram to send a message to fans. He admits it was a frustrating night out, especially as it brought our participation in the Carabao Cup to a premature end.
He has now put the onus on the players to reflect to improve and do better in the games to come. Fernandes made a late punt at trying to steal the ball and score a winner, unfortunately, it was deemed unfair.
Dalot too took to the platform and admitted that the performance could have been better and was, unfortunately, lacking on the night. The Portuguese full-back is slowly working his way back into contention, giving Solskjaer another option to call upon.
He also went on to add that the team will continue to keep working and do better in the games to come. Despite the riches at our disposal, there will be setbacks that the team has to overcome. What matters the most is how we react to the setbacks and respond.

It was a forgettable night for United who lacked a standout performer on the night. The Red Devils had enough in their side to see off West Ham but were unable to make the advantage count. That is however now in the past and our focus should be on the games to come.
