Solskjaer provides injury update on 23-year-old Man United star

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford admits he will never lose any respect for former boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals when Marcus Rashford will be back from injury

Speaking to the official website of Manchester United ahead, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted that Marcus Rashford could be back in action after the international break in October as he recovers from his injury.

The 23-year-old has been a crucial player for the Old Trafford outfit in recent years and was crucial to the club’s impressive performances last season as well. 

Rashford managed to rack up a massive 57 appearances in all competitions and scored 21 goals, and provided a further 15 assists in the process. This helped his boyhood club secure a 2nd place finish in the Premier League and a place in the UEFA Europa League final, where they lost to Villarreal.

The youngster was supposed to undergo surgery on his shoulder after the end of the season but instead featured for England at the Euros, as he helped them to a place in the final of the competition.

However, post that competition, Rashford underwent surgery on his shoulder and is yet to make it back into the first team as he is continuing his recovery process. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shed a little light on when fans can expect to see the player back in a United jersey. 

He told the official website of Manchester United:

“Yeah, it’s going well. They’ve worked really hard, both of them. Alex (Telles) is a bit further on than Marcus. I don’t think we’ll see Marcus until after the international break.”

The Manchester-based club, however, would be glad that they will have their young forward back before the end of October. This is because the Red Devils are set to face Leicester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham in the Premier League after the international break. 

Thus, in what could be a timely return, Rashford will be aiming to get on the pitch soon to help his club win silverware again this season.
