Manchester United ready to ‘push again’ for new contract for Paul Pogba
Speaking in the Here We Go podcast (h/t Express), Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Manchester United will push again to get Paul Pogba to sign a new contract.
The 28-year-old is in the final year of his contract, and there is a lot of speculation regarding his future. The French international has previously rejected an extension but things seem to have changed now.
Pogba is apparently ‘loving life’ at United after the recent additions made to the squad and the club’s good form at the start of the season. In fact, a lot of that also has to do with the midfielder.
The Frenchman has provided 7 assists in 5 Premier League games and has been a huge part of the Old Trafford outfit sitting top of the table alongside Chelsea & Liverpool. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recently talked about Pogba’s contract situation on the Here We Go podcast. He said (h/t Express):
“Pogba is loving Man Utd life, atmosphere, and how the club is being rebuilt. His contract is not 100 percent agreed yet. It’s on the table since July. Let’s see what’s gonna happen in coming days. But United will push again.”
Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are circling around and have been ‘earmarked’ as clubs the 28-year-old might go to next summer while United have also kept Plan B ready.

Should Pogba leave the Manchester-based club, the Red Devils are apparently ready to make either Tanguy Ndombele or Franck Kessie his ‘potential replacement’.
If Pogba fails to sign a new deal by January, he will be allowed to talk to foreign clubs. Thus, United will have to act fast if they hope to keep their star midfielder beyond this season.
