Manchester United star Alex Telles closing in on first-team return
According to the club’s official site, Manchester United star Alex Telles is closing in on a return to first-team action following an injury layoff.
The Brazilian full-back is yet to make a single competitive appearance for the Red Devils this season. An ankle injury sustained in pre-season has wrecked his chances of beginning the campaign with a bang.
Telles has then vowed to come back stronger. From the looks of it, that does not appear to be idle talk. The Brazilian is already back in training and is keen to catch Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s eye.
“I feel good.”
According to the report, the South American star admitted that while he was frustrated by the untimely setback, but he has since worked hard to get better. Telles feels he is now in a better place both physically and mentally.
“I feel better than before, I feel better prepared and stronger, physically and mentally. I’m much better and I’m thrilled to be back.”
Telles joined United last summer but has been forced to play second fiddle to Luke Shaw. The 28-year-old has so far made 24 appearances for the Red Devils, making four assists.
Telles is keen to get back onto the field and do his part to bring success to the team. Hopefully, he will get the opportunity sooner rather than later.
“Whenever I get the chance to play, I’ll give everything for Manchester United to win the lot.”
