Injury News: Manchester United get Alex Telles and Scott McTominay boost
According to the Official Manchester United site (h/t Manchester Evening News), Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given Manchester United fans a reason to be happy, as Alex Telles and Scott McTominay have both returned to full training.
This would be positive news for the Red Devils, as they could be headed into a busy schedule with several competitions being held simultaneously.
Scott McTominay had to undergo surgery for a minor groin injury. His only start in the Premier League this campaign was in their match against Leeds United on the first day of the campaign, which his team won comfortably.
Alex Telles played the first pre-season match against Derby County. He picked up an ankle injury in the training camp at Pennyhill Park in Surrey after that match and has not played for Man Utd ever since.
The Red Devils manager commented on their return to training.
“Scott and Alex have joined in training this morning fully. They look good…. Of course, we need to have them go through a few sessions before we can consider if they’re going to be available.”
Edinson Cavani was also sidelined after he picked up a knock in a practice match during the international break. The Norweigan manager would hope that the 34-year-old returns to training soon, as he has played an important part in the Red Devils campaign ever since his arrival at the club.
The games will come thick and fast with the domestic and European competitions. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would want to rotate his squad according to keep all his players fit.
