Chris Sutton believes Mason Greenwood can win Manchester United the Premier League title

According to an interview done by Chris Sutton (h/t The Metro), Mason Greenwood could be the difference-maker for Manchester United this season.

The 19-year-old, who is considered as one of the best talents at the club, could be the man to lead the Red Devils to a Premier League challenge this year, according to Chris Sutton (h/t The Metro).

The BBC pundit felt that the Englishman can lead the line for the Old Trafford outfit this year after his impressive performance against Leeds United.

He said (h/t The Metro):

“Of course, there was Paul Pogba and his assists, but Mason Greenwood as a centre-forward… I thought that his performance was exceptional”.

Sutton explained how Greenwood is like a ‘new player’ this season because he was not on top form last year.

“When you actually look back at last season, it was a bit of a write-off for him”.

Although the ex-Celtic and Chelsea striker initially felt that the Red Devils could not challenge for the Premier League title, he believed that if Greenwood maintains his form, the league title could come to Old Trafford.

“Maybe the centre-forward position might be an issue, because of Cavani’s age and whether he will play enough of the games. But if Greenwood comes to the fore maybe, just maybe, they are in with a shout”.

Will Mason Greenwood influence whether we will bring in a striker or a winger?

More Manchester United News:

Greenwood had his first full season in United colour in 2019 when he managed to score 19 goals and provide 4 assists in 49 first-team appearances. His form, however, failed to keep up last season as he only managed 12 goals and a further 6 assists in 52 appearances.

While that may have been the case this season, the player already looks in amazing form after he scored his first goal in the season opener itself. While there is no certainty on how things will progress for the 19-year-old, it could turn out to be an exciting season for the English international.
