Manchester United could have Marcus Rashford back in training sooner than expected

According to Sky Sports News (h/t Old Trafford Faithful), Marcus Rashford could return to Manchester United training a lot earlier than expected.

The English international, who underwent surgery on his shoulder earlier this month, is set to return to Manchester United training in five weeks time. However, Rashford will still only be ready to play games in October. The reason for this is that it will take a total of twelve weeks before the player is allowed to step onto the pitch and play for the club.

Marcus Rashford was nursing a couple of injuries last season

The player was going through one or two injuries over the course of last season, which were visibly troubling him. However, the 23-year-old made himself available for selection for the England team at the Euros, and he did end up featuring for the Three Lions as they reach the final of the competition, where they eventually bowed out to Italy.

While this does not change anything for United at the moment, the club would be boosted by the fact that Rashford will be raring to go in October instead of playing with a niggling injury. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would also prefer having the player 100% fit instead of playing with an injury week in and week out.

Moreover, the surgery is also said to have gone well, and Rashford is determined to return for United in October. The player could miss out on at least the first 10 Premier League games of the season while he could also miss out on some games of the cup competitions, depending on when he becomes available to feature for United again.
