Transfer News: Antoine Griezmann not willing to move to Manchester United
According to transfer news from Sport Witness, Antoine Griezmann is not keen on a move to Manchester United. The Barcelona forward prefers a return to Atletico Madrid in case he does move. United’s offer has not been entertained as the player does not want to try something new in the Premier League.
A top-class forward, Griezmann was among the best in the business during his time at Atletico Madrid. He was an industrious presence in Diego Simeone’s hard-working side who could score as well as create goals in equal measure.
However, an expensive move to Barcelona in 2019 has not gone as he would have liked. He has failed to replicate the form he showed prior to his move and has been more of a peripheral figure at the club. Now with Barcelona looking to trim their wage bill, Griezmann’s name has landed on the chopping block.
Interest in the French forward grew as clubs looked to take him off Barcelona’s hands. However, he is adamant that he will not be leaving the club unless it is a return to Atleti. Despite his future being uncertain, he is not open to the idea of moving to the Premier League with Manchester United.

This is perhaps a deal that Manchester United didn’t need looking at in the first place. The club have enough players to play in the striker role and adding another name would be a misuse of funds. United would do well to pass up on this interest of theirs and focus on other required positions.
