Manchester United star Alex Telles could move to Inter Milan on loan this summer
According to the Twelfth Man Times, Manchester United star Alex Telles could be set to join Inter Milan on loan this summer.
The Brazilian left-back joined the club on deadline day last summer but has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular. That however has had little to do with anything he lacks and is largely due to the improvement shown by Luke Shaw.
The English international stepped his game up several levels and continues to impress for England at the Euros. As things stand, there is little at all to suggest that he will not be the clear first choice at United in the upcoming season.
Inter are currently in a state of uncertainty despite their Serie A success last season. Antonio Conte has already left while Achraf Hakimi will ply his trade at the Parc des Princes next season.
With a number of changes set to be made at the San Siro, Telles could find game time easier to come by for the Nerazzurri. With the defensive flanks a priority, Telles could thrive in the situation.
Telles made 24 appearances for United last season, garnering four assists to his name. At 28, he is in his prime and should be playing regularly. However with Shaw in his way that is easier said than done. (h/t Transfermarkt)
United are themselves in the market for a new right-back this summer. With Atletico Madrid unwilling to lower their demands for Kieran Trippier, selling Telles could help fund a move for the Englishman. Whether that is something the club will pursue remains to be seen. (h/t The Mirror)

According to the club’s official website (h/t The Mirror) earlier this year, Telles revealed that he is keen to stay put at United beyond the summer. Shaw meanwhile has gone from strength to strength this summer and even garnered praise from the legendary Roberto Carlos.
With Shaw’s spot in the team looking immovable, it remains to be seen if Telles will have a change of heart and seek a fresh challenge elsewhere.
