New Manchester United home kit spotted in stores ahead of official release
According to Footy Headlines (h/t Manchester Evening News), the new Manchester United home kit has been pictured in stores ahead of the official release.
The new kit will feature a new main sponsor after the club’s partnership with Chevrolet came to an end at the end of last season. The new sponsor Team Viewer have taken their place courtesy of a five-year deal. It would appear that the leaked designs from a few months ago were true.
The kit features a plain red design with white trim and colour. The words ‘Youth, courage, success” are inscribed on the inside of the collar.
As things stand, it is unclear as to exactly when United will officially realise their kit. With the club set to begin their pre-season against Derby County later this month on the 18th, it is fair to assume that the release will precede it.
United will kick off the new season in their new gear. The Red Devils open their Premier League campaign against arch-rivals Leeds United at Old Trafford on 14 August. Hopefully, it will be the dawn of a new era both on and off the field.
Our world-record deal with Chevrolet, worth £64m each year was replaced by German company Team Viewer in a deal worth £47m per year. Kohler will remain as the club’s sleeve sponsors, and the new ‘leaked’ home shirt is a modern and simplistic design, using the colours ‘real red’ and ‘off-white’, using the same red that was used on the current home shirt for the 2020/21 season.

Still produced by Adidas, the home kit retains the three-striped pattern on the shoulder. The major change, however, is the name of the sponsor emblazoned on the front.
