AC Milan remain keen on landing Manchester United star Diogo Dalot
According to Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport (h/t Sport Witness), Serie A giants, AC Milan remain keen on landing Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot this summer,
The Portuguese international enjoyed a fruitful season on loan at the San Siro last campaign. While he may not have set tails wagging, he did enough to leave Milan interested ahead of the next campaign. Even though he was not an automatic first-choice, he made 33 appearances for the Rossoneri, scoring twice and laying on three assists. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Dalot left a positive impression on Milan boss Stefano Pioli. The Rossoneri have been trying to bring him back on a loan with a view to buying. Whether that happens remains to be seen.
According to the report, Dalot’s versatility and attributes are something Milan are keen to add to their squad. The youngster is at an age where he should be playing regularly to continue his development. With chances at United a premium, he could have a better chance of playing regularly elsewhere.
United, for their part, are keen to sell Dalot on a permanent basis. Whether Milan can break down the Red Devils will power remains to be seen. According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, both clubs are yet to reach an agreement for Dalot. What course the saga takes later this window remains to be seen.
A right-back appears to be on the for United radar this summer. While Aaron Wan-Bissaka is defensively solid, his attacking prowess leaves much to be desired. This has seen the club turn their attention to Atletico Madrid ace Trippier. The La Liga champions are sticking to their €40m asking price and it remains to be seen if a compromise can be reached.

Dalot recently made his international bow as Portugal got eliminated from the Euros. Real Madrid have also registered their own intentions to sign him. A sale for Dalot is likely to land United a cool sum of £17m in profit.
