Transfer News: Rennes open to selling Manchester United linked Eduardo Camavinga
According to transfer news from Mirror, Rennes are open to selling Eduardo Camavinga who has been linked to Manchester United. The French club could let go of the talented midfielder as his contract ends in 2022 and they want to avoid losing him on a free.
Signing his first professional contract in 2018, Camavinga became the youngest player ever to do so with the club. He made his debut for the first team in April 2019 against Angers and scored his first goal for the club against Lyon in December 2019. So far, Camavinga has made 82 appearances for Rennes, scoring twice and assisting five in the process (h/t Transfermarkt).
Usually deployed in central midfield, he can also be used as a defensive midfielder. He also made his bow for France last year but was unlucky to miss out on a spot for the Euros. However, he still has time at just 18 years of age.
Now, Manchester United are hoping to meet with the player’s representatives around next week. Rennes are also said to be open to a sale given that his current deal runs out in a year and the club want to avoid losing him for free.

Camavinga’s signing can be a shot in the arm for United. The club struggled to keep up the high energy levels through the season and another midfielder can be a welcome addition. He can be a great long term addition to the side if United can get a deal over the line.
