Eduardo Camavinga keen on Paris Saint-Germain move amidst Manchester United interest
According to French outlet RMC Sport (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United target Eduardo Camavinga would prefer to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
One of the best young players in Europe, the French wonderkid has been earning rave reviews for his performances over the last two seasons. Already a regular for Rennes, he has made 82 appearances, scoring twice and assisting five more for the Ligue 1 side. (h/t Transfermarkt)
With Jadon Sancho almost in the bag, United are now turning their attentions to Camavinga. The youngster’s potential can be judged by the fact that he has already won three caps for a talented France squad who are the reigning World Champions.
According to the report, the 18-year-old prefers to join PSG and stay in France. However, his entourage will still meet with United next week to begin talks over a potential transfer.
Camavinga’s current deal at Rennes expires next summer. The Ligue 1 side is prepared to listen to offers for the player and are wary of losing him for free in a year’s time. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to turn his attentions to the youngster once Sancho is in the bag.
Just what Rennes will seek for the player remains unclear. Given his contract situation, their hand in negotiations could be weakened. United ace Paul Pogba is also a big fan of the youngster and it remains to be seen if they will form a partnership at the Theatre of Dreams.
Camavinga’s agent, Josh Barnett, admitted earlier this year that the Frenchman could play in England next season.

United missed out on English wonderkid Jude Bellingham last summer. The youngster went on to enjoy an excellent season at Borussia Dortmund and even made the England squad for the Euros. The Red Devils believe Camavinga is a much better talent and could be set to add him to their ranks this summer.
