Transfer News: Manchester United could let go of 12 players
According to transfer news from Mirror, Manchester United could let go of up to 12 players on sale or loan. Several first-team stars could be on their way out while a couple of youngsters might be sent out on loan to gain first-team experience.
Jadon Sancho’s arrival is close and it will be a big one. United are likely to break the bank for him despite the lean finances meaning that money has to be brought in from some other place. That will mean player sales and loans, and several of them.
12 manchester United players from the first-team and academy will be heading out on permanent deals or temporary loans. The biggest name United have considered for sale is Paul Pogba, due to his contract situation.
Among some more first-team names are Anthony Martial, Donny van de Beek and Nemanja Matic. Martial has struggled for consistency while Van de Beek has warmed the benches for most of the time. Matic is likely running on his last legs.
There are a few players who will return from their loan spells such as Jesse Lingard, Andreas Pereira and Diogo Dalot. The three of them are very likely to be sold on a permanent basis. As for some of the young guns such as James Garner, Amad Diallo, Shola Shoretire, Anthony Elanga and Hannibal Mejbri, they will be sent out on loan.

United will need to get rid of players they don’t need. That will help them get some cash and potentially help them strengthen the squad. However, they should be careful about selling or loaning out too many players as it might leave the squad thin.
