Transfer News: Tottenham enter the race for Manchester United target Jules Kounde
According to transfer news from Daily Mail, Tottenham have entered the race for Manchester United target Jules Kounde. Real Madrid and Arsenal are also said to be after the highly-rated defender from Sevilla.
Kounde is an extremely promising player who appears to have a bright future ahead of him. He was a part of the Sevilla side that knocked United out of the Europa League in 2020. The defender has already represented France at the youth level in the Under-19 and Under-21 stages. He has also been included in France’s Euros squad for the summer and featured in the final group game.
The French youngster has been in excellent form for Sevilla and is a regular for Julian Lopetegui’s side. He has made 49 appearances for them this season, scoring four goals and assisting one. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Hence, it was no surprise to see United get linked with a move for him. However, it seems that another club has also taken interest in the French defender. Tottenham have become the latest club to register their interest in the player.

Kounde is a young defender with a lot of potential. Hence, it will be anything but easy to prise him away. United will now have to fend off interest from Spurs if they want their man. It speaks volumes about his development and skill that so many elite clubs are after him.
