Manchester United ready to offer players in part exchange for Harry Kane
According to The Daily Star, Manchester United could be all set to make an offer for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane this summer.
The English skipper is one of the finest strikers of his generation and has made it a habit of scoring goals for fun. He is now ready to call it quits at Spurs after yet another disappointing season that ended with no silverware.
As one of the best in the business, United will not have an easy road in their efforts to land Kane. This is because of Chelsea and Manchester City, who are both also in the fray for his signature.
Securing Kane will not be easy thanks to his mammoth £150m asking price. United could however lower it by offering either Anthony Martial or Jesse Lingard in part exchange.
Martial is coming off a frustrating season that saw him net just seven goals in 36 appearances across all competitions. To make matters worse, an injury cut short Martial’s season also costing him a spot in the French squad for the Euros.
Lingard on the other hand has seen his stock rise thanks to a successful loan spell at West Ham United in the second half of the season. While he may have missed out on the England squad for the Euros, his stock remains high.
United are not averse to losing both players and could offer them to Spurs as a part of the Kane deal. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be unimpressed by Martial’s attitude and could sacrifice him this summer.
According to The Sun, Lingard is keen to stay put at Old Trafford and fight for his spot. However the Red Devils are willing to part ways with the player and value him at £20m.
