Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tells Manchester United to pull out all stops in securing Jadon Sancho
According to Tribal Football (h/t Express), Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told the club to solely focus on securing Jadon Sancho rather than also monitor alternatives for him.
The 21-year-old is one of the best young players in world football. United have been long term admirers of the Englishman and are closer than ever to landing him this summer.
According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, personal terms and the length of the contract do not appear to be an issue. Rather the only point of conflict now remains the difference in asking price between United and Dortmund.
Despite all the optimism surrounding the pursuit of Sancho, the player appears to be angling for a move to either Real Madrid or Barcelona. While this may or may not be true, United will do themselves no favours by dragging on negotiations.
Solskjaer believes Sancho will love life in Manchester and will thrive on the right-wing. Adding Sancho to our frontline will add further zest to what is already a scintillating Red Devils attack.
What signing Sancho will mean for Mason Greenwood and Amad Diallo remains to be seen. Both players started at right-wing last season but could drop down a notch if Sancho arrives in the summer.
There are a number of players who are being seen as alternatives to Sancho. Two of them are Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman and Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi. With a deal for Sancho inching close to completion, it is time for us to seal the deal.
After all, United are not in a position where they can make the step up with just one signing. The quicker we bring in Sancho, the sooner we can look to the other needs of the squad.

While one could argue that Solskjaer is putting all his eggs in one basket, it is also true that we have never been closer to signing Sancho. If we do end up missing out on him, the Red Devils will have nobody but themselves to blame.
