Manchester United fans jubilant as Jesse Lingard wins dual PL awards for April
According to Sky Sports, Manchester United loanee Jesse Lingard continues to see his stock rise at West Ham United.
The 28-year-old has discovered a rich vein of form since moving to the Hammers in January. With nine goals and four assists in 13 appearances, he has hit the ground running. (h/t Transfermarkt)
With four goals in four matches in April, he has been voted the Premier League player of the month. It is the first time that he has won the prestigious award.
Lingard also won the Premier League goal of the month award for his strike against Wolverhampton Wanderers. We had predicted he would be in contention at the time and are glad to be proven right regarding the same.
The 28-year-old received the ball in his own half and quickly set off on a counter-attack, running directly at the Wolves defence. It culminated in an unstoppable strike past Rui Patricio that gave Hammers the lead.
It was a clean sweep of the awards for those affiliated with United. Club legend and Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce took home the manager of the month award for April.

You are not God…📌
Not often you see a player run 3 quarters of the pitch and slot a tidy finish. This is better then most goals this seasons
