Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expecting three key signings this summer

According to The Mirror (h/t The Express), Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expects The Glazers to back him with three signings in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Red Devils go into the summer in a strong position. Not only are they likely to finish second in the league but could also go all the way in the Europa League.

We could hopefully go onto bigger and better things provided we can bring in the right players. With Ed Woodward gone, the trio of John Murtough, Darren Fletcher and Matt Judge will face their trial by fire this offseason.

With fans rising in protest against them, the Glazers appear to be willing to splash the cash to win back support.

The likes of Erling Haaland, Raphael Varane and Jack Grealish are all on the club’s radar ahead of the pivotal summer. There is little doubt that these three players would definitely make us a much better team.

It was reported by David Ornstein that United are definitely in for a new striker and a defender. While Haaland is one of the best young attackers out there, Varane is a proven veteran capable of elevating our backline to a greater level.

However, none of the players will come cheap. Haaland alone would cost us a king’s fortune, let alone a World Cup winner and the Villa skipper.

While we welcome the news that the Glazers are ready to splash the cash, it matters for little if they go back to being themselves again. What United need are owners who are keen to build a winning team and not just buy their way out of trouble.
