Manchester United to square off against Chelsea for Brighton wonderkid Andrew Moran
According to Teamtalk, Manchester United will compete with Chelsea for Brighton and Hove Albion wonderkid Andrew Moran.
The youngster only joined the Seagulls last summer from Bray Wanderers alongside Leigh Kavanagh. He has since gone on to make an instant impact in the country’s youth circles.
Just 17, Moran has scored 11 goals and made 11 assists in just 22 games for Brighton’s Under-18s this season. An impressive record for a player in his first season.
A midfielder by trade, his eye for a goal will have caught the attention of a number of clubs. According to the report, he is held in high regard and may not be too far away from making his senior bow.
Brighton for their part are keen to hold onto their prized asset. They are aware of interest from elsewhere but do not intend to sell him anytime soon.
Both United and Chelsea have preferred to sign talented young players in recent times. From the looks of it, Moran will only garner more attention the better he gets.
With all due respect to Brighton, the academy at United is better equipped to get the best out of Moran should he make the move. Moreover, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shown he is willing to give players a chance if they are good enough.
Moran is a skilful playmaker who became Bray’s youngest ever player at 15 years and 307 days in 2019. He clearly has high potential and looks set on his way to achieving just that.
