“I am focused” – Star Man United target sends a loud and clear message regarding his future

Raphael Varane opens up on his future amidst Manchester United interest

According to Manchester Evening News, Raphael Varane insists that his future is clear amidst rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United.

For now, he appears keen to maintain all his focus on what Real Madrid can achieve this season. Los Blancos are two points off the La Liga summit and are also in the UEFA Champions League semifinals.

“My future is clear, I am focused on the end of the season.”

With just a little over a year left on his current deal, it’s now or never for Real. Selling him this summer would see them recoup a decent fee rather than lose him on a free transfer next year.

Varane is well aware of what his future holds

Club president Florentino Perez also admitted recently that the door is open for Varane to leave if he wants to. This would have come as music to United’s ears.

It speaks of Varane’s character that his commitment remains to the colours he wears rather than the one wanting to sign him. A proven winner, it would appear that his integrity too is top-notch.

“The message to the fans is that I am 100 per cent committed to the team. We have challenges that encourage us a lot. I am focused on giving everything on the field.”

Varane has been isntrumental in Madrid’s success the last ten years

United face competition from Chelsea though. The player has caught the attention of Thomas Tuchel, who is keen to add him to the Blues roster.

Varane will come up against Chelsea in the semifinals of the Champions League. Hopefully, he can land them a double blow by not only defeating them but also rejecting a move to Stamford Bridge.

Sources close to Varane claim that clubs are only prepared to wait until next year to sign him on a free transfer. Perez is so desperate to prevent that and willing to let go of him this summer.
