Agent of Manchester United target Jack Grealish hints at ‘big’ summer transfer deals
According to The Athletic (h/t Manchester Evening News), the agent of Manchester United target Jack Grealish has revealed that he could be involved in ‘very big deals’ in the summer transfer window.
Jonathan Barnett is one of the sport’s finest agents and represents some of the biggest names in the sport. His company, ICM Stellar Sports, represent the likes of Saul Niguez, Eduardo Camavinga and Ibrahima Konate among others. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Interestingly, the three players mentioned above have all been linked with United in the recent past. Barnett’s agency also represents United stars Luke Shaw and Dean Henderson.
“We’ve got Grealish, we’ve got Ibrahima Konate at RB Leipzig. But then I’ve got over 100 players.”
United have been interested in Grealish for some time now but weren’t willing to match Villa’s demands for their captain last summer. Now an established star, the 25-year-old penned a five-year extension at Villa Park last year.
Grealish’s stock has only risen since and with Manchester City also in the fray, United could very well have missed the boat for the player.
Speculation linking us to Grealish has gone stale in recent months. The same cannot be said of links to both Niguez and Camavinga.
United face a key summer transfer window at the end of the campaign. Despite our progress, there are still some ways for us to go before we can challenge for the top.
Bringing in the right players this summer could help accelerate our progress in the right direction.
