Manchester United might have been given a hint regarding their pursuit of Rennes wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga.

According to The Athletic (Subscription Required), Jonathan Barnett, the agent of Camavinga, has revealed that his client could very well ply his trade in the Premier League next season.

The 18-year-old is already a regular for the Ligue 1 side and has also made his bow for the French national team. Not an easy accomplishment considering the talent in the World champions’ roster.

Camavinga is currently being tracked by a number of clubs including Chelsea and Real Madrid. United will by no means have a clear go at landing him if they choose to.

“Camavinga can play next year in the Premier League. He is that good.”

Barnett believes his client is good enough to play in the Premier League. The fact that he believes that the 18-year-old is ready is a testament to the player’s ability.

Whether he will indeed go on to do so remains a question to be answered. But Barnett has no doubt that Camavinga is on his way to superstardom.

“I think he’s going to be a superstar.”

Camavinga has in the past been touted as a replacement for Paul Pogba. The French ace’s future is far from certain and could be on his way in the summer.

In the Rennes wonderkid, United would be getting a real talent on their hands. Moreover, he still has a long way to go in his career and could become a mainstay in the Red Devils squad for seasons to come.

A move for the youngster will cost United around £50million. Given his potential and age, it could very well prove to be a bargain in the long run.
