Manchester United make Erling Haaland and Harry Kane decisions
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have made a decision regarding Harry Kane and Erling Haaland heading into the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils go into the summer knowing well that bringing in a new striker is a major priority. Edinson Cavani’s future remains unclear while Anthony Martial has failed to live up to expectations.
Unlike last summer, United’s focus appears to be to bring in a young striker rather than an established one.
In Haaland and Kane, United have two strikers who can take up the mantle of the infallible goal-getter that the club craves for. The former is the younger of the lot and an upcoming name set for greatness.
Kane, meanwhile, is in his prime and has consistently scored in the English top-flight. As per the reports, United prefer to sign Haaland over the England captain.
However, it would appear that it is not as simple as choosing one of the two. Financial constraints could see the Red Devils lose out on both strikers altogether. (h/t The Express)
A strained relationship?
Speaking over the weekend, Kane refused to commit his future to Tottenham Hotspur. However, the North Londoners have had a frosty relationship with United ever since Berbatov moved to Old Trafford in 2008.
Since then, Daniel Levy has refused to let United land any of Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld. Unless we can fork out in excess of £150m, United have no chance of landing the Three Lions skipper.

At just 20, Haaland is already making waves as the next great striker in world football. Landing him would be nothing short of a coup for United.
It is pretty clear that the club has to bring in a new striker in the summer. Whether we can land our primary targets remains to be seen.
