Transfer News: Manchester United, Liverpool interested in Nabil Fekir
According to Spanish news publication Fichajes Manchester United are among the clubs interested in making a summer transfer move for Real Betis’ Nabil Fekir.
The 27-year-old Frenchman has been with Real Betis since the summer of 2019 and has grown into one of the top attacking midfielders in Spain. Able to play in a variety of roles be it as a No. 10, a No. 8 or even on either flank, has made 25 appearances this term, scoring three goals and setting up six more. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Fekir has been a long-term target for Liverpool, having come close to securing a transfer to Anfield in the past only for a move to collapse. The Reds, however, have continued to follow his progress and could make a move for him this summer.
But, they will now face competition from Manchester United to land the 27-year-old. Our problems on the right-wing need no introduction. And while Fekir isn’t an out-and-out winger, his presence would add a lot of quality in attack.
In addition, his ability to play as a No. 10 or a No. 8 can also come in handy amid doubts surrounding the future of Paul Pogba as well as Donny van de Beek.
Inter Milan are also said to be in the hunt to sign the French international apart from Manchester United and Liverpool.

Real Betis, however, have no intention of selling Fekir in the summer. Unsurprisingly so, considering the importance he carries within the side. Fekir is contracted with the club till 2023 and it remains to be seen if a transfer to Manchester United materialises in the summer.
