Manchester United urged to sign Man City star Sergio Aguero

Speaking to Ladbrokes (h/t Daily Star), former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has suggested that the club should consider signing Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

Aguero has been with Manchester City since 2011 and is the club’s all-time leading goalscorer. A Premier League legend, the Argentine played a key role in ushering in the successful era at the Etihad, starting with the moment in 2011/12 that no Manchester United fan will forget easily.

However, over the past year, he has struggled with injuries and has found himself out of Pep Guardiola’s plans. With his contract now up for expiry at the end of the season, speculations over his future have been doing the rounds.

At the same time, Manchester United are in the market for an elite goalscorer in the summer transfer window. With Anthony Martial faltering and Edinson Cavani not getting any younger, the Red Devils need a prolific, reliable goalscorer.

From Erling Haaland to Harry Kane, a host of names have been linked with a move to Old Trafford. And, now Ince has also thrown the name of Aguero into the hat, insisting that he has an option that Manchester United should consider.

“Sergio Aguero might be leaving Man City, why shouldn’t United make a move for him? You could see it now; if he wanted to stay in the Premier League and he’s living in Manchester, then I don’t think it would be a bad thing at all if they went and got Aguero.”
