Potter rubbishes Yves Bissouma rumours amidst Manchester United links
According to Sky Sports, Brighton and Hove Albion manager Graham Potter has rubbished transfer rumours regarding Manchester United target Yves Bissouma.
The player’s agent had recently revealed the names of the 6 clubs that are supposedly interested in the Malian. (h/t Daily Express)
The 24-year-old has been a part of an exciting Seagulls side who play attractive football but have been unable to see the desired results.
“There have been no approaches.”

Potter believes Bissouma still has much to offer and has dismissed suggestions that he is on the way out at the Amex stadium. Moreover, he went on to suggest that the rumours were just a figment of the media’s imagination.
“Just because it’s in the newspaper, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true.”
The midfielder has three more years to go on his current deal. This gives Brighton enough leeway when it comes to potential negotiations.

Bissouma has made 13 appearances for Brighton in the Premier League this season. Ironically, his only absence came in the clash against United.
The defensive midfielder joined Brighton and Hove Albion in 2018 from Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille. He initially struggled to make an impact but has since June looked a different beast.
Potter is keen to ensure the midfielder continues to develop at Brighton. A competent manager in his own right, he could very well coax more out of the Mali international.

With the future of Paul Pogba unclear and Nemanja Matic not getting any younger, United may need to bring in a midfielder or two in the coming windows.
Bissouma has shown enough potential and could be on the verge of breaking out as a major player. At 24, he has time on his side and United will do well to keep tabs on him.
