Manchester United in a six-way tussle to land Paulo Dybala
According to 90min (h/t Express), Manchester United are amongst a number of Premier League clubs offered a chance to sign Juventus star Paulo Dybala.
The Argentine star has failed to hit last season’s heights this time around. In fact, he has scored just one goal, while failing to register a single assist in 10 games so far this campaign. (h/t Transfermarkt)
This pales significantly in comparison to the 17 goals and 14 assists he made en route to Juventus retaining their Serie A title. (h/t Transfermarkt)
This is not the first time that Dybala has been linked with the Red Devils. Our interest in the player goes all the way to his time with Palermo. The 27-year-old attracted eyeballs at I Rosanero, where he spent three seasons before moving to Turin in 2015.
Since then, United have continued to be linked with the 27-year-old. Dybala nearly moved to Old Trafford last year, only for Ed Woodward to pull the plug on the potential deal. He was unsure if the player really was keen on joining the club. (h/t Express)
It would appear that we now have a chance for a third bite of the cherry. But that can be done only if we can ward off interest from five other Premier League sides.
In demand!
Apart from us, Dybala has also been linked with Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Liverpool. (h/t Express)
The player was close to moving to Tottenham in the New Year, however, that too failed to materialise. Spurs are currently on top of the table and are a team that can be considered desirable at this moment in time.
The same can be said for all the other teams apart from maybe Arsenal. The Gunners despite their rich heritage are in crisis and are not at the moment among the best teams in the league.

Signing Dybala would add much dynamism to a United attack that has looked toothless at times this season.
Capable of playing a variety of roles, the Argentine has the makings of a world-beater on his day. Whether United can beat off interest and secure him remains to be seen.
