Champions League-winning defensive star dreams of playing for Man United

Bayern Munich star Niklas Sule dreams of playing for Manchester United

According to BILD journalist Christian Falk (h/t The Sun), Bayern Munich’s German international defender Niklas Sule harbours hopes of playing for Manchester United once he decides to leave Bundesliga.

The 25-year-old Sule came through the youth ranks at TSG Hoffenheim, where he established himself as one of the best young defenders in Germany.

As is the case with almost every top young player in the country, Bayern Munich came calling in 2017 and the centre-back has since gone onto become a permanent fixture in the backline for the Bavarian outfit.

Manchester United had reportedly expressed an interest in signing the 29-time capped German international last year. However, he opted to stay put at the Allianz Arena.

Having stayed back with Bayern Munich, Sule went on to play a key role as the Bavarian giants won the Bundesliga, the DFB Pokal and the UEFA Champions League last season.

However, Falk has now claimed on Twitter that the 25-year-old towering centre-half dreams of playing for Manchester United. (h/t The Sun)

But with Sule now reportedly open to a move to Old Trafford, Manchester United rekindling their interest in the 25-year-old in the next summer could be a good move.
