Manchester United among a number of clubs interested in Samuel Chukwueze
According to 90min.com (h/t MEN), Manchester United are one among six Premier League clubs eyeing a swoop for Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze next year.
The 21-year-old winger came through the ranks at the Diamond Academy in Nigeria before joining Villarreal in 2017. He made his first-team debut for the Yellow Submarine in 2018 and has racked up 89 appearances, scoring 13 goals and assisting 11 more. (h/t Transfermarkt)
So far in the new season, Chukwueze has featured 10 times in all competitions, finding the back of the net on one occasion and setting up two more. (h/t Transfermarkt)
A number of clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea and Wolves have had their eyes on the 21-year-old Nigerian for a while now. And now, Manchester United have also entered the race for the winger, along with Everton and Leicester City.
It is no secret that Manchester United were in the market for a new right-winger this past summer. Jadon Sancho had been the club’s primary target but a deal couldn’t be struck to sign the England international. (h/t Daily Mail)
While Facundo Pellistri and Amad Traore have been signed, adding a more proven option next summer should be a priority for the club.

Chukwueze, despite his potential, isn’t exactly a proven commodity. Making another move to bring in Sancho should be a top priority for the club next summer.
But keeping an eye out on the Nigerian with an eye on a future move wouldn’t be the worst idea.
