Gary Neville wants Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make ‘selfish’ transfer decisions to avoid the sack
As reported by the Mirror, former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has urged manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make some tough decisions with respect to his players or risk ‘losing himself’.
The Norwegian finds himself under immense pressure once again after United lost 1-0 to Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday. The result meant that the Red Devils have not won a single home game in the Premier League this term.
Even though the club has impressed in the UEFA Champions League, seven points from six league outings is a poor start to the campaign.
And, Neville has warned Solskjaer that he needs to act now and decide which players he wants to stick with and get rid of the ones he doesn’t in January. (h/t Mirror)
“He’s got to pick a group of players and he might have to make some tough decisions, really tough decisions. You’re going to have to really upset a few, there’s eight weeks to go until the January transfer window. He’s going to have to be selfish.”
The ex-Manchester United captain went on to add that the current manager would risk ‘losing himself’ if he kept on trying to make everyone happy. (h/t Mirror)

Considering the dull performance against Arsenal, Solskjaer has his task cut out to turn things around. Following the defeat, Manchester United are currently 15th in the table. At this point, the team is closer to the relegation zone than to the top of the table.
