Alan Shearer praises Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

According to The Daily Mail, England legend Alan Shearer has praised Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for changing his starting line-up against Newcastle United.

Five United stars who started the loss to Tottenham were replaced for the game against Newcastle United.

Shearer believes that the United squad needed freshening up following the defeat a fortnight ago. Solskjaer should be commended for his man-management.

“From Manchester United’s point of view, I think Ole Gunnar Solksjaer desveres credit for changing the team.”

Newcastle took the lead early via a Luke Shaw own goal. That was as good as it got for the Magpies as United bossed the game afterwards. In the end, we rediscovered our shooting boots late on as we scored thrice towards the end to win the game 4-1.

“It had to be changed after that last performance. They played very very well (this weekend) and they absolutely battered Newcastle.”

The performance was in stark contrast to the humbling we received against Tottenham. In fact, that performance demanded a response and it is fair to say that was exactly what happened at St. James’ Park.

Bruno Fernandes and Juan Mata ran the show on the night and orchestrated a United squad that ran the symphony.

“Mata and Fernandes were so clever, they just went into the pockets in front of Newcastle’s front four”

In all fairness, Newcastle were pretty poor and looked miles off from being a difficult opposition. That being said, United still needed to do their job, which they did well.

Hopefully, this is the start of a resurgence and we can go on a winning run.
