Real Madrid ready to pay Manchester United target Gareth Bale to leave the club this summer
According to The Telegraph, Manchester United have received a boost in their chase of Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.
According to Jack Otway of the Express, the veteran Welshman has been suggested as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.
United’s pursuit of the 20-year-old hit a roadblock when they failed to meet Dortmund’s August 10 deadline. The trail for the English wonderkid has since gone stale.
According to the report, Bale revealed last week that he would be open to a return to the Premier League. His relationship with Real boss Zinedine Zidane looks to be beyond repair and the club is ready to let him walk away.
The Spanish giants are prepared to pay 50% of Bale’s salary for him to find a new club. This should work in our favour if we decide to make a move for the player.
He currently earns an eye-watering £15.2million annually at Real. The prospect of getting a player of his ability at half the wages could prove to be a shrewd move.
Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in taking him back to North London. However, they are in no condition economically to make a move. (h/t Express)
Despite being 31, he still has a good few years left in him and could do with a fresh start. An established star, his quality is not in doubt.

Bale would be an excellent stop-gap option given the current circumstances. United lack squad depth and will do well to secure the Welshman’s signature.
