Fred not looking to leave Man United after Donny van de Beek signing
According to a report from the MEN, Manchester United midfield star Fred has no intentions of leaving the club this summer with the Red Devils closing in on Donny van de Beek’s signing.
The 27-year-old signed for United from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018. After a difficult debut season, the Brazilian international grew in stature this past campaign, becoming a regular under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
While he did lose his spot to Nemanja Matic in the latter half of the season, Fred was preferred by the Norwegian for our UEFA Europa League quarter-final and semi-final ties, indicating his standing at the club.
In spite of this, there have been doubts over his future after it emerged that Manchester United will be signing Donny van de Beek. The Dutchman is closing in on a £40m transfer from Ajax, having completed his medical and agreed personal terms with United. (h/t MEN)
However, despite the 23-year-old’s impending arrival, Fred has no intention of leaving Old Trafford at the moment, even though there has been interest from Turkish giants Galatasaray. (h/t MEN)
The report states that the Brazilian international is happy at Manchester United and there have been no talks between the club and his representatives over his future. (h/t MEN)

After a year filled with struggles, Fred showed his value to the side last season. If we are to scale the heights and challenge our rivals, quality depth in the squad is important, more so considering the packed schedule for the upcoming campaign.
So each of our midfielders will be getting plenty of opportunities over the course of the season. And it is pleasing to see that Van de Beek’s potential arrival might not force Fred out of the team.
