Real Madrid set to reignite interest in Paul Pogba
According to Get French Football News (h/t Daily Mail), Real Madrid are set to reignite their interest in Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman endured a difficult start to the season. Injuries and a loss of form saw him struggle on the pitch. Speculation regarding his future continued following the antics of his agent Mino Raiola.
The 27-year-old has experienced a new lease of life since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes in January. Fans had to wait for around five months to see the duo in action but so far, it has been worth the wait.
With each passing day, the Frenchman looks closer to getting back to his best. One can now see why United forked out a club record £89million fee for him back in 2016.
Real manager Zinedine Zidane is a huge fan of his countryman. According to the report, he is extremely unhappy over the club’s inability to land the midfielder last summer.
The La Liga giants are also keen on highly-rated Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. According to French publication L’Équipe (h/t Mirror), Madrid are not prepared to wait for the 17-year-old and are instead focused on trying to lure Pogba during the summer transfer window.
A task that seemed possible a year ago, looks heavily improbable now. Given the upturn in fortune for both the club and the player, he is now as settled as ever at Old Trafford.
