Man Utd in favour of completing PL, FA Cup and UEFA 19/20 season
According to a report by Sky Sports, Manchester United are in favour of completing the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA 2019/20 competitions.
Right now, the season has been suspended due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Countries across the world are struggling to deal with the growing list of positive cases and many in the footballing community have been affected as well.
Earlier, the season was supposed to be suspended only till the end of April but it remains to be seen if it gets extended beyond that.
In a statement issued by Manchester United, the club fully expressed their support for the English football’s governing bodies as they aim to finish the season before moving onto the next (h/t Sky Sports).
The report further adds that contingency plans are being discussed for season ticket-holders if the remaining games have to be played behind closed doors as a precautionary measure.
Sky Sports also suggests that several top-flight outfits are participating in various cost-cutting measures to deal with the severe loss of revenue.
