Former Man Utd ace Bryan Robson lauds Bruno Fernandes’ leadership skills

According to a report by Daily Mail, former Manchester United ace Bryan Robson has hailed Bruno Fernandes’ leadership skills.

Since joining us in January, the Portuguese star has been nothing short of a revelation. Having joined us from Sporting Lisbon for a fee in the region of £67million, the midfielder has made an almost instantaneous impact.

With 3 goals and 4 assists to his name in 9 appearances, Bruno has shone when it comes to being a leader as well. Often seen barking orders on the pitch, his passion and commitment to the badge on his shirt are quite apparent.

Robson acknowledged the same and even lauded the January arrival for being the strong leader that United were in need of for years (h/t Daily Mail).

The 63-year-old, who is United’s longest-serving captain in history, expressed his delight at the kind of effect Bruno has had on the squad.

“I think it helps that he was captain at Sporting,” said Robson (h/t Daily Mail). “I just think it’s something that is naturally in you.”

“Bruno looks as though he has got that natural leadership quality, where he demands from his team-mates and that’s good,” he added.

Robson further praised Bruno for constantly keeping a check on what’s happening behind him despite being a forward-minded player.

Signing him from Sporting has been one of the best transfer decisions made by the United hierarchy in recent times and Robson’s words cement that notion further.
