Man United would need to pay around £90m to sign Antoine Griezmann
According to a report by Catalan newspaper Sport (h/t Daily Express), La Liga giants Barcelona are willing to offload Antoine Griezmann to raise funds once the summer transfer window commences.
The report further adds that the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in securing his services.
Daily Express suggests that United were keen on signing Griezmann back in 2017 after winning the Europa League title under former manager Jose Mourinho.
However, Atletico Madrid were slapped with a transfer ban at the time and the forward chose to stay put at the Wanda Metropolitana.
Although Barcelona have included a £700m release clause in his contract, the report claims that they are willing to allow him to leave for a fee in the region of £90m.
Romelu Lukaku’s departure has left us without a reliable goalscorer upfront. Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial have served us well lately but a player of Griezmann’s calibre would be capable of a lot more.
