How Man Utd boss Solskjaer’s presentation impressed Ed Woodward
According to a report by Daily Express, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had quite an interesting recruitment presentation that impressed Ed Woodward.
Prior to his appointment as the permanent manager, Solskjaer had presented the chairman with a list of players he wanted to offload. The first on that list was Marouane Fellaini.
As a result, Daily Express reports that Woodward was impressed enough to hand the job to Solskjaer over former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino, who was also in the reckoning to replace Jose Mourinho at the time.
The report claims that although Solskjaer was appointed as a stop-gap measure, the Norwegian has done enough to warrant a long-term role at the club.
Despite a slow start under the manager, United had started showing signs of improvement before the current campaign was brought to a standstill due to the coronavirus pandemic that has gripped the world.
All footballing action has been suspended until the end of April for the time being but that could extend further, depending on how the situation fares in the upcoming few weeks or so.
