Owen Hargreaves urges Man Utd ace Fred to add goals to his game to become perfect
According to a report by The Metro, former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has urged Fred to add goals to his game to become the perfect player.
Fred has tasted success in a United shirt this season, establishing himself as one of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s main men in the middle of the park.
Signed for £52m under former manager Jose Mourinho, Fred initially struggled at the club. He failed to make an impact and looked set to become a peripheral figure.
However, since Solskjaer’s appointment, there has been a difference in the Brazilian’s performances. In particular, he has shone in the recent few games for us, especially in the 5-0 Europa League victory against LASK last night.
His resurgence in form has not gone unnoticed and Hargreaves believes he just needs to start scoring goals to become even better.
Speaking to Premier League Productions (h/t The Metro), Hargreaves said:
“He’s a complete midfield player but if he can add goals to his game then he’ll be the perfect midfield player.”
The former United man further added that Fred is good while in possession and is aggressive enough when without the ball. He also claimed that the United players around him are functioning well, calling it a “good sign”.
